Bulk-creating albums
Set up every album for an event before it starts — upload a spreadsheet or type them into a table, review what will be created, then confirm.
1. File format & columns
Your CSV or Excel file needs a header row with these column names, in any order — extra columns are ignored:
name— name — the album's name. Required.description— description — shown on the album. Optional.date— date — YYYY-MM-DD (or YYYY-MM-DD HH:MM for a specific time). Optional — leave it blank and EventFlick uses the event's start date. Must fall within the event's start and end dates.
Blank rows are skipped automatically, so a trailing empty line in your spreadsheet won't cause an error.
2. Two ways to create albums
Upload a file
On an event page, click “Bulk-Create Albums”, then choose a .csv or .xlsx file exported from Excel, Google Sheets, or Numbers.
Type them in
No file handy? Use the table on the same page instead — add or remove rows and fill in a name, description, and date for each album directly in the browser.
3. Review before anything is created
Either way, nothing is created yet — you'll see a preview listing every album that will be created, and any rows that were skipped along with the reason why (a missing name, a date EventFlick couldn't understand, or your plan's album limit).
Only after you confirm are the albums actually created, so a typo in your spreadsheet is easy to catch and fix before it matters.
4. Example files
Download a ready-made example with a few sample rows, in whichever format you prefer — the same file is also linked from the bulk-create page itself once you're on an event:
